Jemond Dante’ Carson, affectionately called “Rico”, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, died in New Orleans on Thursday, February 13, 2014. He was born in New Orleans, Lo on August 8, 1984, and was the son of Darrell Anthony Foster and Vicki Carson Foster. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nancy and James Carson and Lewis and Cleola Foster. He was a 2003 graduate of West Iredell High School and attended Shiloh AME Zion Church at an early age. At one time he was employed by Bartlett Milling Company. In addition to his father and mother, he leaves to cherish the memory of his life, two sons, Azeion Pearson of Statesville and Kash Hampton of New Orleans; three daughters, Jamya Daye, Janya Daye and Camden Carson, all of Statesville; one brother, Sayer Robinson of Statesville; one sister, Consuello Foster of Statesville; his godmother, Mary Mack (Janola Connerly) of Statesville; a nephew, Julio Henae of Statesville, a niece, Marie Coleman of Statesville; several aunts and uncles, Lewis Foster of Houston, Texas, Andrea Foster of Chicago, Illinois, Diedra Foster and Consuello Foster, both of Statesville; David and Allison Foster of Baltimore, Maryland, Debbie Williams of Virginia, Beach, Nancy and Allen Powell of Houston, Texas, Cecelia and Frankie Smyre of Statesville, Ruby and Tyrone White of New Orleans, Louisiana, Laura Carson of Raleigh, James Carson of Statesville, Dwight and Darlane Carson of Statesville; and a host of cousins, other relatives and dear friends. Celebration of Life Services are Incomplete.
